Humans are the most populous of all races in Tyria once holding most of the three continents their control has been reduced with the introduction of the other races and the awakening of the Ancient Dragons to parts of Kryta and the former kingdom of Ascalon. Humans are also located in Cantha however the status of that land is unknown after the Dragon Empire because isolationist, and in Elona, where they are under the dominion of Palawa Joko.
Humans were the only playable race in the original Guild Wars.
